Program Title Description

Creative Coding for Grades 2-3

SAT: 1:00pm - 3:00pm @ Ardent UTC

04/14/2018 - 05/12/2018

Discover programming through art, music, and math. Collaborate with other students as you plan and build amazing projects using visual programming. Create interactive greetings, experiment with sounds and musical notes, make your own comics, design characters and animate them, generate math art, and build level-based games. No prior programming experience required.

Electrical Engineering 101 for Grades 3-4

WED: 3:30pm - 5:30pm @ Ardent NW

04/11/2018 - 05/09/2018

Students learn to design their own circuits using magnetic electronic building blocks. They will program their projects to read sensors, flash lights, and display images on an LED matrix. Example projects include electronic musical instruments and interactive arcade games.

Drone Coding Studio for Grades 5-6

SAT: 12pm - 2pm @ Ardent NW

04/14/2018 - 05/12/2018

Using a combination of interactive lessons, concept explanations, videos, puzzles, and DIY projects, this class teaches students to write programs that control drones. The coding activities build and reinforce STEM skills in geometry, engineering, math, and science. Students will collect and graph data, calculate speed and perimeter, and creatively solve challenges in small groups.

Wearable Tech for Grades 5-8

WED: 6pm - 8pm @ Ardent NW

04/11/2018 - 05/09/2018

Students learn to design wearable circuits and sew the components together with conductive thread. The items may be worn on the body or used as accessories. Example projects include a light-up mask, flashing bag, and twinkling item of clothing.
