At this seminar, parents and students will learn:
  • How to identify academic talents?
  • Why is talent search an important step in talent development?
  • What is CTY, TIP and SET and how to qualify for them?
  • How to prepare to become identified as gifted?
  • How to best utilize the resources offered by gifted education centers?


Prep for SAT I Math for Talent Search

Middle school students who wish to take the SAT/ACT to enter national talent searches including Johns Hopkins’ CTY or Duke’s TIP should enroll in this course. The weekly classes will consist of in-depth analyses and strategic approaches to the math sections of the standardized tests. This course prepares students to take the SAT on 12/1 or the ACT on 12/8.
