New Course: AMC 8 Intensive Practice

This five-week intensive practice is designed to help students review important AMC 8 problem solving techniques. Each week, students will take an actual exam in class, followed by discussion and additional 25-30 practice problems. Another past exam will be used as homework. Therefore, students would have practiced on 5 past exams during the session. 
AMC 8 Intensive Practice Level 1 (5 weeks)
(Grades 6-7)
  1. 10/11, 10/18, 10/25, 11/1, and 11/8
    Friday, 5:30-7:30PM, Ardent Northwood
  2. 10/13, 10/20, 10/27, 11/3, and 11/10
    Sunday, 6:30-8:30PM, Ardent Northwood
This is a beginning level class for students who will be taking the AMC 8 exam for the first time.
AMC 8 Intensive Practice Level 2 (5 weeks)
(Grades 7-8)
10/13, 10/20, 10/27, 11/3, and 11/10
Sunday, 1:30-3:30PM, Ardent Northwood
 
This is an advanced course for students who have taken AMC 8 in previous years and achieved a minimum score of 10/25 and aim to reach a top 5% national ranking.

Registration and Payment

Full payment of tuition and fees is required at the time of registration. Online payment by credit or debit card is preferred. If the payments are nonnegotiable, you will not be registered in your course(s). We accept MasterCard, Visa, and American Express. If you wish to pay by check or cash, you must register and make payments in person at our offices.

*Please note that we do offer pro-rated tuition for selected courses. Please ask our offices for more information.

Class Change and Refund Policy

Withdrawal requests must be made by submitting a written request 7 days before the first day of class to receive a refund of the course tuition minus the processing fee of $50. Otherwise, no refund nor credit will be given. No pro-rated tuition or credit will be given for missed classes. Classes are subject to change or cancel. 

2019 Summer Science Research and AISEP applications are now open! The Science Research Program helps students develop skills in bibliographic research, research methodology, mathematical and computational tools, and effective communication of research results. Students participate in group classes, web-based collaboration, individual meetings, and receive research assistance while conducting research at Ardent Academy or with a student-selected mentor at a university, medical center or research institute. Students who are able to complete a project will have the opportunity to enter local, state and/or national science competitions. 

Ardent Innovation and Social Entrepreneurship Program (AISEP) for rising students in grades 7-11 is designed to guide innovators, engineers, and entrepreneurs, AISEP teaches the steps of identifying a problem, creating an app to solve the problem, and building a company to launch the app. 

Students must complete an application and be approved before registering.
