Students qualify for SET by scoring 700 and above on the Math and/or Evidence-Based Reading and Writing portion of the SAT before age 13. Since the SAT is a standardized test meant for high school juniors and seniors, SET designation recognizes how advanced their mathematical and verbal abilities are.
